Tyrell CCT WEEE Policy

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Battery Directives.

Tyrell CCT is fully committed to its producer responsibility in relation to Directives 2002/96/EC and 2006/66/EC of the European Union. These directives are legal in Ireland and are intended to put in place an environmentally sustainable system to ensure that electrical and electronic waste materials, including waste batteries are recycled in a responsible manner.

WEEE and waste batteries must not be disposed of in the normal municipal or recycle bins. The crossed out wheelie bin symbol on the batteries reminds us not to put these items in the bin but segregate them for recycling.

Tyrell CCT will take back WEEE free of charge on a one for one, like for like basis i.e. if you purchase a camera from Tyrell CCT you can return your old camera to our office for safe disposal. Batteries can be returned to this address as long as they are of equivalent type to those sold. Proof of purchase from Tyrell CCT will be required, please include the Tyrell CCT invoice reference with your return.

You can also dispose of WEEE and waste portable batteries FREE of charge at your local civic amenity site or recycling centre. See www.recyclefree.ie for a list of sites around the country and for information on up and coming FREE recycling collection days organised by WEEE Ireland in your locality.

Tyrell CCT is a registered member of the WEEE Register Society, registration number 00491 and is also a member of a Licensed Compliance Scheme.
